Rivers United head coach Stanley Eguma has declared that he is very excited to overpower Kada City in their Ahlan Cup clash on Tuesday in Kano.
The Pride of Rivers beat Kada City 2-0 to shoot to the top of the standings in Group B.
Eguma in his post-match submissions said it was good to mastermind a win over City.
He said in a chat with Ahlan Cup Media, “It was a good start for us. The game against Kada City afforded us the chance to see what the players can offer.”
“It wasn’t an easy game for us but we were able to withstand the opportunities created.
The coach also submitted that the Pride of Rivers are still working ahead of the 2019/20 season.
“We are still working and taking it step by step. This is not the time to start celebrating. The team is still work in progress.”
Rivers United and Plateau United now each have three points from a game in Group B. Kano Pillars and Kada City are pointless.
