Rivers Hoopers head coach Ogoh Odaudu has expressed satisfaction after guiding his team to the Final Four of the Nigerian Basketball Premier League playoffs, following an emphatic 83–69 victory over Kwara Falcons.
Odaudu, who led the team to the national championship last season, said reaching the Final Four had always been part of the club’s strategic objectives from the start of the campaign.

He praised his players for their consistency and resilience throughout a challenging season, noting that the result was a reflection of the group’s hard work and tactical discipline.
“We came into the season with one goal — to defend our title — and qualifying for the Final Four keeps us right on track,” Odaudu said. “It hasn’t been an easy season, but the boys have shown great commitment and character. Every single player has contributed to this success.”
The Port Harcourt-based side, nicknamed the “KingsMen,” have now secured their place in Lagos for the championship round, where they will battle the nation’s top clubs for the 2025 crown.
Odaudu admitted, however, that there is still work to be done before the Final Four tips off in two weeks. “We’ll take a few days off to recover, then go back to the drawing board,” he said. “There are areas we need to tighten up, especially on defense and transitions. To win back-to-back titles, we need to be flawless.”
The coach also hailed the contributions of the Rivers State government and the club’s supporters, saying their backing has been vital to the team’s continued success. “We’re not done yet,” he declared confidently. “Our focus now shifts to Lagos — we want to finish what we started.”
