The Super Six tournament, scheduled to take place from 18th to 26th May 2024, will see all matches played at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa. Iloduba believes that the support of fans will be instrumental in helping the team achieve success in the competition.
“We want to appreciate the support of the fans most especially during the regular season,” Iloduba told Rivers Angels media. “So now onto the big one, we are in the Super Six playoff tournament. We need the support and love to achieve success in Bayelsa.”
Iloduba also expressed gratitude for the support of the state government throughout the season and called for its continued backing in their quest for the NWFL title. “We know that with the support and encouragement, the trophy will definitely come to Rivers State,” she said.
The stakes are high as the winner of the Super Six playoff tournament will represent Nigeria in the CAF Women’s Champions League next season. As Rivers Angels gear up for the challenge, the rallying cry from Iloduba is clear.
