The Rising Stars Football League hosted its inaugural Ultimate Skills Challenge on July 24, 2024, at Bwari Stadium, marking an exhilarating day of youth empowerment and athletic talent.

This groundbreaking event provided a platform for 22 standout players from the recently concluded league season to showcase their skills and compete for substantial cash rewards.

Departing from previous years, where random fans were participants, this year’s competition focused on the league’s brightest talents, reinforcing its commitment to grassroots football development. Each player was rewarded with an appearance fee of N10,000, ensuring that their efforts were recognized.

The competition’s top three performers earned significant cash prizes: Emmanuel King, who dazzled with his skillful display, took home N250,000 as the winner. Onyedika Philip claimed the second prize of N100,000, while Godwin John secured third place and N50,000.

“This was more than just a competition—it was about giving young players the chance to shine and supporting the development of grassroots football in our community,” said a representative of the Rising Stars Football League.

The league’s dedication to empowering youth was evident, with over one million Naira distributed among the participants.
