It was a historic moment on Sunday 26th of December when Ex Footballers reunited and honor their coaches in Iwaya, Yaba, Lagos with a novelty game for their contributions towards their careers with major football competitions during the time inclusive.

Spokesman of Royal De Excel Football Club, Kehinde Abe has hailed the impact of the three Coaches, Babajide Rahim
Abdulganiu Tadeyo, and Omolaja Bello in the success of every individual in the club side.

Royal De Excel of Iwaya is a determined set of boys with a determined mindset of being a champion in a local Government, who came together to form a team. The club was formed in 1996 (24 years old now) and is now a champion.

In a chat with Sports 247, the Spokesman of the team, Kehinde Abe took some timeout during an exhibition match between Team Blue and team yellow, which ended 3-3 and Award Presentation event, to commend the three coaches (for each department in the team), who are now ex-footballers, for their tremendous efforts so far on the team, during an exhibition match.

“We thank God for what He has done for us. At least to witness today. My Chosen career is clergy and by his Grace, I am a minister in Mountain of Fire Ministry, and likewise, every one of us in the club has chosen one or two careers in all our endeavours, though we are not footballers again, we have chosen good careers in which we are successful in everything we do”.

“We have been doing Royal days, but we thought it that this day, 27th, December 2020 (On Sunday), we need to appreciate the 3 coaches that have given us words of wisdom, knowledge and counsel which has in one way or the other to ensure that we are successful in every career we have”

“I appreciate Coach Rahimi, who is our head coach, Coach Shasha, who is our technical coach and Coach Laja, who is our trainee/physical health coach, they have all done well, we pray that come next year, they will be able to do more”.
