One of the youngest teams in the NPFL this season is Remo Stars, the newly-promoted side registered eight players who came up directly through the youth set up this season.
This boxing day is a hugely significant game for the Sky Blue Stars as they played their first-ever NPFL match in their new home vs Heartland FC of Owerri
The Remo Stars stadium is situated in Ikenne, Ogun State, and its construction was funded solely by the club chairman Hon. Kunle Soname.
We sincerely commend the efforts, vision, and investment of Mr. Soname in domestic football. Can’t help but imagine if we had at least 50 of these stadiums 🏟 spread all over the country with at least 10+ teams in the top divisions owned by private firms or personnel.
Surely a step in the right direction for Nigerian football.
