As Remo Stars Ladies gear up for the second stanza of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership, the club has strengthened its squad with two new signings—Ogunfuwa Omotoke and Eberechukwu Oleka.
The Sky Blue Ladies officially announced the acquisitions on Sunday, confirming that both players have signed contracts with the team.
“Ogunfuwa Omotoke🤝Oleka Eberechukwu. Both have put pen to paper with the Sky Blue Ladies ahead of the #NWFL25 second stanza,” the club stated.
Ogunfuwa arrives from fellow NWFL Premiership side Dannaz Ladies, where she found the net twice during the first half of the season. Oleka, meanwhile, previously featured for Osun Babes during the 2024 NWFL Championship.
Remo Stars Ladies will kick off the second stanza with a clash against Nasarawa Amazons in Lafia on March 19, 2025. Their campaign will continue with fixtures against Confluence Queens, Ekiti Queens, Edo Queens, Heartland Queens, Abia Angels, and Dannaz Ladies as they push for a spot in the NWFL Premiership Super Six Playoffs.
Currently, Wemimo Mathew’s side leads Group A with 19 points from seven matches. They remain one of four unbeaten teams in the league, alongside Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, and Edo Queens.
Among these, Remo Stars Ladies boast the highest points tally and best win percentage as they look to maintain their dominance in the second phase of the season.
