Remo Stars FC head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has lamented his side’s disallowed goals in their narrow 1-0 defeat to Bendel Insurance.
Remo Stars had two goals disallowed either side of halftime before falling behind from a penalty kick.
“For me, I think we still conquer. Because in football you can’t win all the time. You win some, lose some, you draw some. We have played three away games now. We’ve won on the road, lost on the road but the painful thing is just that we also scored two good goals but it was disallowed,” Ogunmodede told Sports247.
“I wouldn’t know what the decision of the referee is but as much as I don’t like to talk about them, the goals are painful. They should have just left the goals for us. This is football. We scored good goals. That’s just the painful thing about the journey.”
Despite the loss in Benin, the Sky Blue Stars maintain top spot on the Group B2 table in the Nigerian National League.
