In a post-match interview with Sports247, he shared his elation about the team’s return to winning ways and their overall performance.
Reflecting on the triumph, Junior expressed, “I was thinking about my feeling, returning back to winning ways. I must say, I’m excited. I am happy with the team’s performance, generally.
We put up a good performance because we just did what we did in our last home game against Shooting Stars, which shows we are getting there, but we are not there yet.”
He also touched on the recent loss to Bendel Insurance in Edo and displayed a remarkable level of composure. “As for the loss in Edo against Bendel Insurance, it’s not disappointing for me because we played well.
We did very well for the team. But for the officiating, not counting our goal, it’s their problem. Mine is to just do my job and make sure I get the result, I play to instruction and do everything well.”
Nduka Junior acknowledged the valuable lesson learned from the coaching staff before the Gombe United match, emphasizing the importance of not underestimating opponents based on recent results.

He said, “And the one thing that we picked from what the coach said before this game was we should never underrate them because they lost two consecutive games does not mean they are not good.
They are a better side, with well-experienced players. Just because we beat them 4-0 does not mean they are a bad side.”
The captain’s insightful comments shed light on the team’s renewed determination and focus. Remo Stars’ victory and their commitment to continuous improvement position them as strong contenders in the league, demonstrating that they are a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming matches.
