Remo 3-0 Nasarawa: Solid Miners Ready To Bounce Back After Setback – Kabir Dogo

Technical Director Kabir Dogo expressed disappointment after Nasarawa United suffered a 3-0 defeat against Remo Stars at their stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, on Sunday evening.

“It’s a result we are eager to move past as a team,” he stated. While the scoreline suggests a one-sided affair, Dogo believes that the resilience shown by his players in the first half provides a foundation to build upon.

The team went into halftime with a score of nil-nil, displaying promising moments, but ultimately, they were unable to capitalize on the scoring opportunities that came their way.

In the second half, Remo Stars took advantage of defensive lapses, netting three goals in just seventeen minutes. Sikiru Alimi, Stanley Joseph, and Ismail Sodiq made the Solid Miners pay for their mistakes, and Dogo credited the opposing team for executing their game plan effectively.

“It’s a tough pill to swallow, but I want to emphasize that this loss will not define our season,” he added.

Dogo reassured fans, saying, “We will regroup and meticulously analyze the weaknesses that were exposed during the match.” The team’s focus now shifts to their next challenge: a crucial home game against Abia Warriors on October 16, 2024. With only three days to prepare, the Solid Miners are fully committed to bouncing back. The coaching staff is already working on strategic adjustments to ensure they are well-prepared to regain their momentum.

“The unwavering support of our fans means everything to us,” Dogo said. “They deserve a team that fights back and delivers results. We’re eager to return to the pitch and make them proud.” He remains confident that the spirit within the squad will not be broken, and they will rise from this setback stronger than before.

Currently, the Solid Miners find themselves in 13th place in the league standings with six points. While this is not where they want to be, Dogo understands that the journey is long, and with hard work and determination, they will climb back up. The Solid Miners are ready for the challenge ahead.
