Aboderin enthused that the expected massive revival of boxing in Nigeria is due to a new lease of life that is coming into the sector based on improved contacts among all stakeholders.
He explained further that things are already getting better through improved collaborations, enhanced public awareness and the emergence of selfless promoters.
The amiable guru stated at length: “It’s all about working alongside other boxing enthusiasts.
“We get involved with other people who are into boxing and who have the zeal to see the growth of the sport in this country.
“We have been able to at least open the arena a little bit, because of the collaboration that is existing between the promoters and the boxers.
“This is unlike it used to be in the past, when the board seemed to be far away from the promoters and the boxers.
“We are all working together right now to enlarge the coast, based on our activities. We want to open up the NBB of C to the public.
“We now have more promoters who are ready to invest. They understand that once they invest well in the right boxing talent, they will surely reap what they sow sooner or later.”
