Katsina United’s coach Bishir Sadoki admitted Nasarawa United wanted the win more. “Both sides played good football, but Nasarawa United needed the points because of their position in the league standings and the new players they brought in. The weather condition was also too harsh for both teams,” Sadoki said. Despite the loss, he pledged to regroup and push for a win in their next match.
Match-winner Qamar Adegoke expressed pride in his decisive goal and optimism for the future. “I feel glad to have scored the winner today. We’ve been working hard to turn things around, and I want to become the league’s highest goalscorer while helping my team finish well,” Adegoke said.
