The management of Buruj Sports Academy has commenced registration of schools children between the age of 9 to 16 for the holiday coaching during the upcoming break from school activities.
The coaching clinic according to the management will be tailored to meet the needs of young boys and girls who are naturally endowed or keen to play the beautiful game but lack the requisite knowledge and skills to flourish.
It is also designed to keep young kids from the streets and engage them for useful purposes ahead choosing their future career.
Speaking on the rationale for the novel initiative, the CEO of the academy, Salaudeen Waheed said:
“Understanding the rules of the game is important. This is something that many new soccer players have problems with. The number one rule that cause the biggest problems is to understand those basic skills like ball control, passing, heading, shooting, dribbling, tackling and so on.”
“We want to give young school children the opportunity to come and learn so that they can maximize the opportunity of having a break from academic works while the holiday last. Another aspect is helping them to be physically fit through regular exercises which will in no small way help their performance when they get back to school,” he opined.
