With the current refurbishment and facelift being witnessed at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, President of the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied sports supporters club, ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi has hailed the sports Minister, Mr. Sunday Dare for keeping to his words.
The National Stadium in Lagos which played host to high profile events in the past has been in a dilapidated condition for so many years.
The Minister facilitated the refurbishment through corporate bodies and influential individuals, a move that has now changed the face of the edifice.
Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi while commending the Sports Minister said “Now we have a facility that we can be very proud of, kudos to the sports Minister for working things out, and thanks to those who committed their resources into the project”.
“We all know how important Lagos is in Nigeria, upon completion, top-flight activities can now take place again at the venue, and memories of the past can be re-introduced”.
It’s worthy of mention that the sports minister also facilitated the renovation at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja which is set to play host to Nigeria vs Ghana World Cup Playoff on March 29, 2022
