First vice president of Nigeria football federation Seyi Akinwumi has called on all Nigerians and members of the reforms committee especially, to change their perception about Nigeria in order to create room for growth and development in Nigerian football.
The NFF first vice president as chairman of the football reform committee has noted that a lot has to be done if meaningful results and resolutions are to be made concerning football in Nigeria starting from members of the committee who are well respected members of the sporting sector.
Barr. Akinwunmi has also promised that the committee will be result oriented “This committee is committed to progressive change because stakeholders want change and the time has come for us to catch up with the rest of the world. This committee will be unique and everybody will be involved in the outcome and that is why we must all see ourselves as change agents that will leave legacy for generation unborn.
We must be ready o change how things are done in the past and use benchmark from various successful nations to carry out this reform,”
Akinwumi made this call at the inaugural ceremony of the Nigeria football reforms committee which was held in Lagos. He further disclosed that the committee would be run transparently and publicly.
