Nigeria Referee’s Association (NRA) president, Alhaji Tade Azeez has raised alarm over what he calls win at all cost syndrome in the domestic league.
Azeez said in a chat with sports247.ng that fans of various clubs in all levels of the Nigerian league make life difficult for his men because of their desperation to see their teams win all matches they play.
He opined that it is so because most of the clubs in the country are government-owned and want positive results to report to their owners.
Azeez, however, said things are improving and assured that there will be better performances from Nigerian referees in the coming season.
