Sunsel Fc of Oghara defeated Ituen International Football club of Uyo 2-0 to light up their hope to qualify for the sole promotion playoff ticket to the Nigeria National-wide League One,NLO1.
Aminu Sule 10 minutes opener and league Top Soccer, Chiche Okpala open the round Rubin playoff for both Ituen Int’I fc and Hope of Glory to fight harder to gain the only promotion ticket to the Third grade of the Nigeria Football League.
Henry Chiche okpala goal at the 90th minutes took the game beyond hard fighting ituen , with the goal Henry now has a total of five goals in five matches played at the NLO 2 Yenagoa centre, in Bayelsa.
Ituen Int’l Fc who just gain promotion to the NLO2 in 2018 need to score four goals to defeat Hope Of Glory who need a win or draw to pick the sole ticket.
This will be the second time Sunsel Fc will be fight for promotion playoff after they narrowly lost in a penalty shootout to KK United of Minna in 2017.
However, Coach of Ituen Int’l Fc threatened not to honour the last match against Hope of Glory or he will willing lose the game to them after he protested that the ninety second minutes goal should suppose to be ruled as offside.
” We will not honour our game against Hope of Glory so that it will be awarded to them and even if we should play, we will willingly lose the game for them to again promotion instead of Sunsel fc whose last minute goal is supposed to be ruled as offside.
Sunsel fc are now topping the playoff group with three points plus one goal different after playing two matches.
While Hope of Glory who narrowly defeated Sunsel Fc has three points to occupy the second position with a goal difference as well but lesser game played while Ituen Int’l Fc no point after playing one game each.
Hope Of Glory against Ituen Int’l Fc game is billed to hold this Thursday morning by 7:30am at the Yenagoa center of the Samson Siasia stadium, Bayelsa
