Rangers International of Enugu media officer, Norbert Okolie has issued a promise that the players will make their fans happy by beating Bantu FC of Lesotho in the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup play-off.
Sports247.ng reports that The Flying Antelopes enter Sunday’s reverse fixture at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on the strength on a 2-1 away win, but Okolie says the Coal City side will not rest on their oars.
Rather than take the away win as a huge advantage for an easy game in Enugu, Okolie says the squad will be on their toes for all 90 minutes, because they do not want to disappoint their fans.
Okolie stated further that Rangers aim to use the match to showcase the level of progress that has been achieved in the club since they won the Federation Cup last year.
He added that the players and coaches have been preparing for Sunday’s second leg as if the first match never happened, but admitted they will be without Akpos Adubi, who is suspended over accumulated cards.
The club spokesman added: “The spirit is high and we are ready. We are not taking anything for granted, though; but we are ready to make our fans happy.”
