After a successful inspection of hotel facilities in Awka, the Anambra state capital, the management of Rangers International F.C is set to move the team there for its close-camping exercise to round off its preseason activities for the fast approaching 2022/2023 football season.
The visit by the management ably led by the Administrative Secretary, Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua, was to ensure that the team hadwere ground a seamless and result-oriented close-camping exercise for its players, coaches, and back-room staff.
A visibly elated Ugwuarua stated that the visits to the recreational facilities were, to have the best for the players to give their all and prove to the coaches that they have all it takes to ensure that Rangers achieve its set targets in the coming football season.
“I believe that what we saw on the groundcamping during the inspection, will to a considerable extent, help the players to concentrate and give their best during the period of the close camping so as to prove to the coaches that they have what it takes to defend the colors of Rangers when the season kicks off,” said the Administrative Secretary of Rangers.
The team from the ‘Flying Antelopes’ fold also paid a courtesy visit to the chairman of Anambra State Football Association, Gen. Chikelue Iloenyosi at the association’s corporate headquarters, Awka where the young F. A Chairman promised to provide the needed support for the club to actualize its target in the coming season.
Barrister Ugwuarua in his opening remarks congratulated the Anambra State F. A boss on his victory at the polls while wishing him the best in his resolve to relaunch Anambra state into the committee of football-playing states in the country and continent, stressing, “Your victory at the poll clearly shows that you are the square peg in a square hole. You are perfectly fit for the job of taking Anambra State football to the next level with your exposure and contacts in the game. It is our wish and desire to seek your support as we come to Awka for our close-camping exercise which came about by the massive support we enjoyed when we played here for some part of last season.”
Gen. Chikelue Iloenyosi, in his address of welcome, thanked the management of the Enugu side for choosing Awka for their close-camping program promising to do all in his powers to ensure that the exercise becomes a huge success, stressing, “Rangers is the club of all Igbo race and we at the Anambra Football Association welcome you to Awka for the end of your preseason program. We shall mobilize efforts to ensure that the program is a success as our state is filled with a lot of football clubs that will give your coaches the challenge they need to toughen the team ahead of the coming season. Be assured of our support and good wishes.”
