Rangers Seek Redemption in Maiduguri Ahead of Crucial Clash Against El-Kanemi Warriors

Defending Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Rangers International F.C., are set to travel to Maiduguri, Borno State, on Monday via Max Air, as they prepare for a pivotal Matchday 21 encounter against the reigning President Federation Cup holders, El-Kanemi Warriors F.C.

Determined to bounce back from a disappointing home defeat to Niger Tornadoes, the “Flying Antelopes” are focused on reclaiming their winning form and climbing the league standings.

The 27-man delegation will arrive in Maiduguri ahead of the match slated for Wednesday, January 29th, 2025.

“We are traveling to Maiduguri with a clear mission to secure a positive result and stay in contention with the league leaders,” said team captain Ugwueze Chinemerem. “After reviewing our performance in the last match, we are fully committed to turning things around.”

The reverse fixture earlier in the season, held on August 31st, 2024, ended in a goalless stalemate at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
