Rangers International, one of Nigeria’s prominent football clubs, has received assurances of government support as they prepare for the upcoming 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

A delegation from the Youth, Sports, and Security Committee of the state, led by Chairman Raymond Ugwu, paid a visit to the club’s management to convey this commitment.
During the visit, Ugwu encouraged the club’s management to put in dedicated efforts to ensure the team’s success in the new NPFL season.
He underlined the government’s commitment to provide support in various aspects to aid Rangers International in achieving their objectives.
“Our visit here aims to establish a close working relationship between the committee members and the club’s management as part of our oversight functions,” Ugwu stated.
“We are here to identify the club’s strengths and challenges to ensure that Rangers becomes the premier football brand in the country, excelling in all aspects.”
Ugwu emphasized the goal of seeing Rangers International clinch championship titles once again and reintroducing night matches in Enugu, reflecting the government’s determination to revitalize and elevate the club’s status.
This assurance of government support signifies a positive step for Rangers International as they gear up for the highly competitive NPFL season, with hopes of reclaiming their prominent position in Nigerian football.
