The full list of management, coaches, staff and players of Rangers International F.C of Enugu on Friday, November 13, 2020, took the serene Umabor clan of Eha-Alumona town in Nsukka East Development Center of Enugu state by storm to bid a befitting farewell to late chief Paulinus Ezeaku, the father of the club’ team manager, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku.
Prince Davidson Owumi who led the team to the burial of the patriarch of the Ezeaku family was full of kind words for the family left behind while urging them to be more united now that their father has transited.
Owumi said, “Your father and husband lived a good life worthy of emulation which I urge you to follow his footsteps and achieve like him. There is nothing like unity and I implore you all to unit and forge ahead like a bunch of brooms which sweep better.”
Also, on the ground were officials of Nigeria Club Owners as well as representatives from Nigeria Football Federation who all painted glowing pictures of the departed father of five who once was a football referee.
Alloy Chukwuemeka, secretary of club owners gave kind words to the Ezeaku family as he said, “You all know and appreciate how your daddy lived and showed you how to live, so I wish you continue in the unity that we are celebrating today.”
Reacting, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, who is the second son in the family thanked the Rangers family and the entire sports and football family all over the country for standing by him in the period of grief and showing him and his family love.
Recall that Chief Paulinus Ezeaku was called to rest on September 10, 2020 at the age of 63 years.
