Rangels FA of Achina are through to the semifinals of the Anambra Super8 Invitational after coming from behind to beat Uncle Ralph FC 3-1 at the Awka City Stadium.
Rangels FA who will be playing in the NLO this coming season had a slow start and were made to pay for it when Obinna Amah converted a penalty after Nwafor Emmanuel was brought down in the penalty area.
However, conceding the goal turned out to be the wake up call for the Rangels as they mounted pressure on Uncle Ralph FC and eventually got the equalizer just before halftime through Ozor Ekwu.
The second half saw Rangels continue its domination of the match and eventually took the completed the comeback in the 59th minute when Onyebuchi Nebedum headed in a great delivery from Ozor Ekwu.
Uncle Ralph FC in a desperate move to equalize, left themselves exposed at the back and Rangels FC capitalized with a counterattack as Ebuka Dim rounded off a well deserved victory for the Achina based team.
After the match, Rangels FC head coach Dimude Chukwuebuka expressed his satisfaction towards his team’s performance.

The Anambra Super 8 Invitational Tournament continues on Thursday with the second quarter finals between Peace FC and Anambra Rovers by 2pm and followed by Obosi United vs De-Wilson FC by 4pm. The winner of the Peace FC vs Anambra Roovers match will face Rangels FC in the semifinals.
