It was a tough game for Super Eagles’ midfield maestro Ramon Azeez. His side battled to get an elusive victory over CE L’Hospitalet in the Copa Del Rey. Granada’s creative man in the middle found the loophole in the opponent’s defensive line with an incisive pass to set up his team’s third goal in extra time. Roberto Soldado scored one goal and Ramos scored twice. The game ended 3-2 in favour of the away side.
The doggedness of the opponents was stunning as they currently play in the fourth tier division of Spanish league football.
Ramon Azeez has scored two goals in twelve league games for Granada in La Liga. He has played six games for the Super Eagles since his debut on March 5, 2014. The central midfielder has also represented Nigeria in the FIFA U17 and U20 World Cups.
Granada currently sits ninth on the league table of La Liga and will take on sixteenth placed Eibar in the next match. Azeez will be aiming at impressing once again.
