Member of the Ram Lovers Association of Nigeria, Mr. Dada Adabayo says his passion for Ram Sports is the driving factor behind his involvement with the traditional sport.
The 2021 edition of the Lagos State Ram Lovers Association Governor’s Cup’ commenced earlier this month.
Mr. Adebayo who claims to have 15 rams participating in the Ram Fighting tourney, opened up his passion for the sport.
“Everybody has a passion for things. The sport I have a passion for the most is Ram Fighting,” he revealed to Sports247. “Because of that, I have been in this competition for so long.
“I was once the financial secretary of the association and currently one of the senior members in the association as an elder. That is why I am here. My ram is fighting under category B and very soon my ram would be announced to come for the fight competition.
“I have up to 15 rams. I have almost 7 rams in category B. In category C I have 3 and 4 in category D.”
Mr. Adebayo acknowledged the challenges of managing ruminant mammals. He is left with little another choice, however.
“It is not easy to take care of them because the food of these rams are very, very expensive. But the passion I have for the ram makes me spend so much on the rams,” he concluded.
