Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor AbdulRahman, has commended the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, for his dedication to grassroots sports development and empowering the youth in the community.
Speaking at the Chairman’s Cup final and closing ceremony held at Igbaja ECWA Secondary School, Ajakaye expressed admiration for the talented young players showcased during the event.
He praised the community for supporting the initiative and encouraged other local governments to adopt similar programs to foster unity and development through sports.
Highlighting the role of grassroots sports in promoting peace, unity, and educational achievement, Ajakaye reassured the organizers of continued support from the state government. He also urged parents to encourage their children’s participation in sports as a means of personal and communal growth.
Ajakaye congratulated Share Ward III for emerging as champions in the media edition of the tournament and motivated other teams to strive for improved performance in future editions.
