Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri maintains his position as the Africa’s in the latest ranking released by the ITTF for the month of May.
Although Quadri failed to move in the ranking despite his impressive showing at the ITTF Championship in Budapest last month, he maintains his 23rd position on the global ranking.
Meanwhile, Egypt’s Assar who’s first round exit at the 2019 World Championships denied him the chance of improving his rating dropped to 53 in the May ranking from 47th which he was in April.
Omotayo who be facing will be facing Russia’s Petr Fedotov in the first round of the men’s singles at the ITTF Challenge Serbia Open dropped from his 129 spot to 136 position.
The Nigerian has been seeded 22 among the 32 seeded players for the men’s singles $30,000 prize money championship and he will be hoping for a better outing in order to accumulate more points ahead of next month’s ranking .
