Provazios Sports Academy of Lagos right full back, Jedidiah Chimaroke has revealed that he gains a lot of inspiration from watching Spanish defender, Dani Cavajal in action.
Chimaroke, who added that he also loves playing as a wing back, revealed further in a chat with sports247.ng that Cavajal’s style of play has motivated him to think of starring for a Spanish club before hanging his boots.
While also urging all parents to encourage their children who show interest in playing football, Chimaroke went on to declare that he would also love to play in the English Premier League.
He began by giving a self-assessment of his playing style and explained why he opted to be a defender, instead of lining out as an attacker.
Chimaroke expatiated: “I decided to play as a full back and wing back because I know how to run.
“That position requires a lot of running and energy. I enjoy running on the wing and creating opportunities with assists to my teammates.
“I see myself playing for a Spanish or English club in the nearest future.”
He then revealed how his parents have supported him to chase his football dream, to the extent that his father bought his first set of football boots for him.
Chimaroke charged other adults to follow suit, as he disclosed, “I have the full support of my parents, and it was even my dad who bought my first boots for me.
“I want to tell other parents: ‘If your child has passion for football, you should look into it and try to support him.’
“Parents need to show their talented children love and give them the basics that they need in order to go very far in football.”
He concluded with a revelation of his inspiration and targets, adding that he learns more from watching Cavajal in action.
“My role model is Dani Cavajal of Real Madrid and Spain.
“I like him because he is a real fighter, and he plays the same position that I play.
“Seeing him do what he does best inspires me to play more.
“Watching his performances shows me how to play that role and do better in my position,” Chimaroke concluded.
