The 2025 Edo State FA Cup, Nigeria’s oldest football competition, is set to kick off from February 5th to 23rd, 2025, with ProStar Sports International playing a pivotal role as the official supplier of match balls and kits for the tournament.

The competition, organized by the Edo State Football Association under the leadership of Fred Newton Erhunmwunse and sponsored by Peculiar Ultimate Concerns Limited, will see 24 men’s teams and six women’s teams battle for glory.
One of the standout fixtures of the first round is the clash between Living Voice Football Academy and Assemblies of God FC, two Christian faith-based teams looking to make a mark in the competition. The winner of this encounter will advance to face Benin Warriors FC in the second round.
Defending champions Bendel Insurance FC have drawn a bye and will begin their title defense in the second round against the winner of Restoration FC vs. Dynamo Sports FC. Last year’s finalists, Ine Stars FC, will also enter in the second round, awaiting the winner between Olowolo FC and Sports Family FC.
In the women’s category, reigning champions Edo Queens FC will face the winner of Benin Red Soil Queens FC vs. Tiki Taka FC in the semifinal, while Fortress Ladies FC, last year’s runners-up, will battle the victor of Brace Heart Ladies FC vs. Bravos FC.
The stakes are high, with the men’s champion set to receive ₦1 million, while the second and third-place teams will earn ₦750,000 and ₦500,000, respectively. In the women’s category, the champions will take home ₦750,000, while the runner-up and third-place teams will pocket ₦500,000 and ₦250,000.
