Olisa Emmanuel, the goalkeeper for Beyond Limit FC emerged as the man of the match in the recent NNL Super 8 match where Beyond Limit FC managed to secure a 1-1 draw against Ikorodu City FC.
Emmanuel saved a penalty that prevented Ikorodu City from taking the lead and ensured that Beyond Limit FC remained at the top of the table.
Reflecting on the moment, Emmanuel told Sports 247, “I was scared normally because we were playing 1-1 and we needed a win to be promoted to the NPFL.
I was just emotional. But I tried my best because, from our training days, we have been taking some penalty sessions.
I just made sure I was calm in the post and waited for the guy before he kicked the ball.”
With their last game approaching, Beyond Limit FC is still on top of the table. When asked about their strategy for the next game against Inter Lagos, Olisa Emmanuel confidently stated, “We are going for the winning.
We will make sure of that. The opponents came and they were too hungry because they also needed a win.
But for our next match, we will make sure we are well relaxed and make sure that we do not mess up.”
