Savior Ochuwku, a player for Nasarawa United, expressed his joy and relief at the team’s success as Nasarawa United secured their promotion back to the NPFL after just one season in the NNL.
The team achieved this remarkable feat by defeating Sokoto United, coming back from a one-goal deficit to secure a 2-1 victory.

Speaking with Sports 247 in a post-match interview, Ochuwku explained excitedly “I can’t describe these feelings because this is what we have been working for.
And thank God it came through. Though it wasn’t easy. But we have always had the belief that we are not going to play two years in the NNL,” he said.
The NNL, known for its challenging league structure, is not a place teams want to remain.
Nasarawa United’s promotion is a testament to their hard work, determination, and belief in their ability to succeed.
For Ochuwku, this success holds personal significance. “Right now, I feel like the best human on earth. Because I’m very happy.
This is what we know. The task ahead of us. And thank God, it came true. I can’t describe the amount of happiness I’m feeling right now,” he shared.
As Nasarawa United prepares for their return to the NPFL, the team’s morale is high, and they are ready to face the challenges that lie ahead.
