The Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, has announced the official distribution of Prostar Evolution, an all-weather-friendly match ball, to all 20 clubs in the elite league.
Speaking at the unveiling of 400 Prostar Evolution balls on Monday at the NPFL headquarters in Abuja, Elegbeleye highlighted the league’s commitment to standardizing Nigerian football and positioning it among the best on the continent.

The Prostar Evolution match ball, produced by Prostar Sports International, meets FIFA and CAF standards and is designed to perform optimally under any weather conditions. Elegbeleye revealed that each club will receive 20 balls in the first phase of distribution, with plans to increase the number before the season ends.
“In a deliberate effort to standardize the league, the NPFL management is unveiling the Prostar Evolution match balls, which will be given to the 20 clubs. This will enable them to train with the balls ahead of the start of the second stanza,” he said.
Elegbeleye also commended GTI, the league’s strategic sponsor, for supporting this initiative and ensuring the delivery of top-quality match balls.

Also speaking at the event, Mr. Nelson Nneh, a representative of GTI, emphasized the importance of having a uniform ball for match days in the NPFL. “GTI is doing everything to make sure the league gets to where it ought to be.
This is one of the reasons we deemed it fit to get Prostar Evolution balls for all 20 clubs. The ball is FIFA and CAF standard and playable under any weather conditions,” Nneh said.
