Head coach of Emmydinho FC Ayeni Ademola has stated that promotion to the Nigerian National League (NNL) will serve as a boost to his club.
Speaking with Sports247 after a 3-2 pre-season loss to Messiah FC, Ayeni said: “So far so good, we saw some players and hopefully the ones we have taken will give us what we want. With the little, we have seen we’ll start working with them and from there we move forward.”
Ayeni aim is to get Emmydinho promoted to the NNL. He started off insisting that it’s the target of every coach.
“Every coach will want to set such target. But you don’t just set targets and then relax. We keep working hard to meet up with everything that comes our way, every challenge.
“All we need to do is get back to training and start working to prepare ourselves for the NLO. If we get the chance to qualify for the NNL, fine for us. It would serve as a boost to everyone involved with the club.
“It would be a good one for us if we really qualify for the NNL.” he added.
