The Organizing Committee for the Professor Akin Oyebode Cup 3.0 has continued its stakeholders’ engagement efforts with a visit to two key officials of the Government of Ekiti State, Nigeria.
The committee led by Pelumi Abiara met with Dr. (Mrs.) Olusola Osetoba, Technical Adviser on Sports to Governor Biodun Oyebanji and Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Gold Adedayo.
The visits were aimed to discuss tournament preparations, seek support and collaboration from the state government and explore ways to leverage the tournament for youth development and sports growth in Ekiti State.
During the meetings, the organizing committee briefed Dr. Mrs. Osetoba and Hon. Adedayo on the tournament’s objectives, format, and expected outcomes.
The officials expressed their support for the tournament and commended the organizing committee for its efforts to promote sports and youth development in the state.
Hon. Adedayo emphasized the importance of grassroots sports development and encouraged the organizing committee to involve local communities in the tournament in order to achieve the purpose of youth development.
He however pledged the ministry’s support for the tournament and suggested ways to integrate youth development programs into the event.
Osetoba offered guidance on accessing state government facilities and resources to support the tournament.
The Professor Akin Oyebode Cup 3.0 promises to be an exciting and impactful event.
