Renowned corporate sports and marketing expert, Professor Ken Anugweje has served a strong hint that better days lie ahead of activities at the University of Port Harcourt, now that he has been ‘elevated’ to the position of committee chairman.
Sports247.ng reports that the commercial sports guru and administrator hinted further that issues concerning partnerships with UNIPORT, regarding the use of facilities for contests, camping and other activities will have to be discussed as business ventures.

He inferred as much in the wake of an agreement with Rivers State government for camping and training of their athletes heading to this year’s National Sports Festival in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Anugweje, who is also a sports consultant and motivational speaker per excellence, directed his message pointedly at Rivers State commissioner for sports, Barrister Chris Green, as he called for formal talks on how to make the partnership work effectively.
He declared: “It is also important that you come and interact with the management and the body that houses sports facilities and performances in the university.
“Dr Aggey, an ace former footballer of note, is the director here. Mrs Olayemi Alapiki is our accountant here, and Coach Power is the deputy director here.”
The renowned sports marketer then hinted at the role he would be playing in the scheme of things, as they affect the institution and his told as chairman of their sports committee.
“I have humbly been elevated to the position of chairman. So, now I’m going to be on the side of the university when we talk,” Anugweje assured.
