Anglican Secondary School, Efon Alaaye Ekiti, Ikere High School, Ikere Ekiti, and Omuo Community High School, Omuo Ekiti are the first three schools to seal their places in the Prof. Akin Oyebode Cup for 2022.
The draws of participating Local Football Council representatives in the Prof. Akin Oyebode Cup have been scheduled to hold on Tuesday, March 1st, ahead of the planned 3rd of March Kick-off date.
Anglican Secondary School defeated Efon High School via penalty shoot out to become the Efon Local Football Council representative.
Ikere High School also needed spot kicks to topple Annunciation School in the final of the Henrich Secondary School Football Competition to emerge as the flag bearer for Ikere LFC
Omuo Community High School are the latest to seal a place in the prestigious talent discovery competition, they will be carrying the fate of Ekiti East LFC after winning the Rev. Foluso Daramola Secondary School Football Competition in the area.
Other Local Football Councils are in the latter stages of their respective tournaments as they must present the name of their representatives latest by February 28.
Recall that the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development in Ekiti, Hon. Akintunde Oyebode, who is sponsoring the All Ekiti State Secondary School Football Competition together with his family will be at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium on Thursday, March 3rd for the official kick-off.
