Four private primary schools would battle for final ticket on Thursday morning in the ongoing Private Primary School Football Championship tagged ‘CMOA Cup’
The tourney which stated some weeks ago with 15 private primary schools are taking place in Viscum Schools at the Omole Phase II, Ojodu Berger, Lagos.
In the semi final pairing released by the organisers on Wednesday, Kingdom Heritage Model School would face tough battle against Viscum Schools, while Divine Offspring School tackle Carol School in the second semi final.
The match coordinator Prince Wale Atiba said the tourney was packaged to encourage private schools to involve in the round leather game and bring them to the limelight.
He explained that most of these private schools hardly allow their wards to involve in sporting activities especially football and noted that this championship has created healthy rivalry among some private schools.
He however urged the other private schools to allow their purpils to invole in football activities so that more talents would be discovered for future competitions
“I must say that this competition has discovered future talents and I am impressed with the standard of play by the participating teams. We are now in the crucial stage where finalists would be emerged and I wish all the semi finalists best of luck in their outings,” he said.
