Unlucky Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Academy on Saturday lost 2-4 to Barca Academy in a friendly match played at Campus sports centre, Lagos Island.
The two teams were delighted to watch as Raymond Oboh opened the goal account for Prince Kazeem Eletu in the 3th minutes.
Abdulrahmon Sidbe cancelled the deficit as he got equalizer for Barca Academy to make encounter more interesting.
Prince Kazeem Eletu Academy raised the tempo of the game as they dominated the midfield but their effort was rewarded when Aziz Agboola made it second goal before the half time.
Te second half witnessed more goals. Although both teams missed scoring chances but Barca Academy took their chances as Daniel Aseku leveled in the 58th minutes.
Despite the effort of Prince Kazeem Eletu Academy to level the game their opponents capitalized on counter and scored two quick goals through Bolu Thompson and Abubakar Ali to end the game 4-2.
The match which was watched by scanty crowd saw Prince Kazeem Eletu Academy missed several scoring chances, while Barca Academy absorbed pressured throughout the game and ensured that their opponents did not score them before the final whistle.
Barca Academy coach, Bright Ozegbabe said the friendly match lived up to expectations and commended his team for playing to instruction.
Technical Director of Prince Kazeem Eletu Academy, Alex Coppolani, said it was a good match for both teams and congratulated their opponents for their victory. He said despite his team’s defeat, he was satisfied with the level of work done on the team saying that all the mistakes committed by the players would be corrected before their next friendly match.
