Chief Execute Officer of Fc Phoenix, Prince Adetunji has hailed the efforts of the Lagos State FA and the Lagos State Sports Commission for putting together the Eko Football Queens Championship.
The Championship was set up to engage and empower youths in the state (Lagos), as well as helping to discover amazing talents in football,
In a chat with Sports247, when being asked about his views on the tournament, Prince Adetunji took some time out to commend the efforts of the Seyi Akinwunmi’s led team, the Lagos State FA and in collaboration with the Lagos State Sports Commission, for organising this amazing competition, which he says is good one, which will keep the ladies busy, as well as helping to discover great female football talents, like the next Assisat Oshoala, Rashidat Ajibade and the rest.
“We need this kind of tournament for our Ladies, so as to keep them busy and developed”.
“With the help of this tournament, new Assisat Oshoala and Rashidat Ajibade could be discovered, so I will like to thank the NFF and everyone associated in the set up, for their initiatives, especially for the amateur teams. We the stakeholders need this kind of tournament for the girls, so as to keep them busy in football”.
“We will like various stakeholders and sponsors to support and collaborate as well with the NFF, so as we could organise more and more female tournaments in the country, because female football needs to grow and develop in the country”, he emphasized.
Prince Adetunji is also a stakeholder in Nigerian Football and the President of the Female Football Academy Proprietor, who organized WAFA. His team Fc Phoenix was founded in 2004.
