President Federation Cup: Warri Wolves Secure Free Round of 16 Spot as NFF Releases Round of 32 Fixtures and Venues

Warri Wolves have advanced to the Round of 16 of the 2025 President Federation Cup following the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) confirmation of Shooting Stars’ disqualification, Sports247 reports.

In a statement released on Saturday evening, the NFF unveiled the full Round of 32 fixtures and confirmed that Shooting Stars FC, who were originally set to face Warri Wolves, had been disqualified.

As a result, Warri Wolves progress to the next stage without playing a match in the Round of 32.

Shooting Stars had previously advanced past Zamfara FC in the Round of 64. However, the club was later found to have fielded ineligible players, leading to their disqualification. This decision did not reinstate Zamfara United FC or any other team, allowing Warri Wolves a direct passage into the next round.

Meanwhile, the NFF has confirmed the venues and dates for the remaining 15 matches in the Men’s President Federation Cup Round of 32. These matches are scheduled to take place on April 2, and 3 2025, at various locations across the country.

One of the standout fixtures will see defending champions El-Kanemi Warriors take on Enyimba FC at the Bwari Stadium in Abuja, ensuring that one Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) heavyweight will be eliminated.

Another highly anticipated clash is the Oriental Derby between last year’s finalists, Heartland FC, and NPFL defending champions, Enugu Rangers.

Additionally, Plateau United will face Sunshine Stars in another all-NPFL encounter, while Ikorodu City FC and Crown FC of Ogbomoso will battle for bragging rights in a South West derby in Ijebu Ode.
