Nasarawa United FC weathered a first-half 0-1 deficit at the Lafia City Stadium to thrash one of the fastest-rising football academies in Nigeria, Tanko Baba Football Academy, by 4-2 in a Pre-Season friendly on Sunday evening.

The guests had shocked United with an early goal courtesy of Sadiq Abubakar in a game that saw the away team also leading in ball possession in the first stage.
But after effecting some tactical substitutions in the second half, the Solid Miners rose from villains to heroes, scoring four goals within the space of fifteen minutes.

Kawu Yusuf gave the Solid Miners the lead with a spectacular finish in the 59th minute and made it a brace, five minutes later, before Sambo Gambo’s aplomb took the scores to 4-1.
