Head coach of FC Robo Football Club of Mushin, Kazeem Alabi has reacted to the team’s 2-1 defeat against its arch-rival, Sateck Football Club of Mushin in the semi-final match of Extra Quality Pre-Season Cup which was played yesterday at Eko Boys Junior High School, Mushin, Lagos.
Alabi popularly known as Ewe told our correspondent that his boys played good football but noted that some of his key players were injured which cost their shocking defeat.
He said their opponents paraded highly experienced and matured players as his boys could not equal them in terms of experience.
“We played against highly experienced and matured players. Our boys gave their best unfortunately we lost the game. Secondly, some of our key players missed the game because they were injured and we only managed to use the players available and I am happy that those players lived up to expectations. I wish our opponents the best of luck in the final,” he said.
In the first semi-final played earlier, King Spor FC pipped Diadem Stallion FC 1-0 to set up a final match against Sateck.
The final match would hold tomorrow evening as organizers have put necessary things in place to make this year’s a memorable one.
