Imo State Commissioner for Youth And Sports Development, Hon. Dan Ogu has congratulated Heartland FC of Owerri following a 2-1 victory over hard-fighting Dakkada FC of Uyo.
The game decided at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Thursday saw the visitors from Uyo scoring first in the first half before Heartland FC would equalize in the second half and then went ahead to score the winning goal before the last blast of the whistle.
Ogu praised Heartland FC for fighting like wounded lions to remedy the game as well as captured the maximum three points while there was still time.
The commissioner urged the team to continue in their latest winning streak, assuring that both the government and people are behind them in the quest for football glory.
Ogu also thanked the state Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma for providing the Naze Millionaires with the needed resources and right motivation to win their games.
Heartland FC have now gone unbeaten in five straight matches in the current Nigeria Premier League after Week 12 Matches.
