The 2020 Port Harcourt City League has come to an end after the last round of matches took place on Friday, 18th December 2020.
The first game of the day was between Port Harcourt United and Elekahia United. It was marred by a stale first half where both teams fired blank. There were only flashes from an uninspiring static Elekahia United with Johngbo Smart having a rare sniff at goal on the 34th minute. Valentine Hamilton who came before the break drove effortlessly into the Elekahia box but failed to hit the target.
The game sparked off at the restart. A cameo showing from the flanks saw Emmanuel Tamuno dribble past Michael Joseph to lay a pass to Johngbo Smart. He wasted no time to guide home for Elekahia United. The lead barely reached seven minutes before Port Harcourt United got the leveler by George Tamuno.
Two goals were added just before the blast of the final whistle. Kingsley Benson stylishly lobs beyond Godwin Onyema on the 75th minute.
