Nigerian youngster Popoola Ridwan enjoyed a dream debut for Kisvárda FC, helping his side to a 1-0 away victory over Csákvári in the Hungarian second division on Sunday.
The talented midfielder, who recently signed with the club, played the full 90 minutes and delivered a commanding performance in the heart of midfield.

Speaking to Merit News after the match, Ridwan shared his excitement about the win.
“I’m really happy we got the win today. This was my first game for the club, and starting off with a victory means a lot to me. I want to see my team win every game and lift the trophy at the end of the season,” he said.
With Kisvárda currently topping the table with 48 points and seven matches left, Ridwan emphasized his commitment to helping the team secure promotion to Hungary’s top flight.
“We have seven games to go, and we’re leading the table. My focus is on giving my best to help the team earn promotion. I’ll keep working hard,” he added.
Kisvárda’s victory strengthens their push for promotion as they look to return to the Hungarian top tier.
