The State of Osun Football Team, Osun United will today Saturday, 27th April, 2019 trade tackles with Police Machine Football Club of Oshogbo in the final of the AITEO/FA Cup, sports247.ng learns
The match will hold at the Oshogbo Township at 3pm prompt.
According to the Media Chief, Osun United, Mr Tajudeen Hamad said for Osun United to reach the final, Omoluabi Giants eased past Ajiroba Ooni by a lone goal scored by Gafar Olafimihan while Police Machine sent Ijesha Golden Warriors of Ilesha packing by two goals to one.
Speaking on telephone, the new President of Osun United, Chief Ademola Adesina saluted the courage of the players to maintain the integrity and philosophy of the team dated back to the era of the Late Football Icon, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi.
Speaking on today’ game, Chief Adesina advised the team to bring on their unblemished FA Cup experience which made them to be tagged “Giant Killers” in 2012 when they narrowly lost to Heartland in the semi final.
” I believe in the experience of veteran Coach Unuanel and his boys in today’s game. I am optimistic that the team will record maximum victory over a hard-fighting Police Machine FC. I also called the fans to stand by the team as they always do because the support of fans is sacrosanct for the team’s success “, concluded Chief Adesina.
In his reaction, the Co-ordinator of Police Machine FC, Mr. Taofiq Ola assured that his boys are ready to usurp the dominant power from Osun United in the encounter, promising that the match would not be a walk in the park for the Omoluabi Giants.
Meanwhile, both Osun United and Police Machine FC will represent the State at the National level of the AITEO/FA Cup.
