The CEO of basketball equipment producing company, Engineer Opeyemi Webber has disclosed that his interest in basketball came naturally for him.
Webber is the brain behind Webber Engineering Nigerian Limited whose products have been used international basketball games like the 2018 FIBA World Cup qualifiers, 2017 Continental basketball league, Nigerian basketball league and host of others.
In an online interview session held on WhatsApp platform, Family United by Football, Webber said “the game of basketball came to me naturally.”
“I had grown 6″4 and it was only natural for me to drift to a basketball court, rather than play soccer or swim or involve in any other sports.”
On how the game can grow in his native state, Osun state, the basket ball administrator said having well equipped infrastructure is the first step to greatness for basketball in the state.
“There is a lot in the pipeline, we have a lot to achieve in the next couple of years. One key area for the game to get to the next level is the development of required of basketball infrastructure in and around Osogbo. We are looking at some infrastructure in the city and we will look to develop them (to a required state).”
Engineer Opeyemi Babalola Webber is the current chairman of the Osun State Basketball Association.
