Former NPFL Champions Plateau United at the weekend confirmed their participation in the maiden edition of the Unity Preseason Tournament holding in Abuja from 30th October to 5th November.
Conveying the message to the organizers of the tournament, the Technical Adviser of the team Fidelis Ilechukwu said the tournament is an opportunity for him to have a proper assessment of his team, at a competitive level before the commencement of the League season.
Ilechukwu who was the former Technical Adviser of both MFM FC and Heartland of Owerri said the timing of the tournament is most appropriate for the teams, as it will put them in a competitive frame before the 2021/2022 NPFL season begins.
Plateau United has represented the country in both the African Champions League and Confederation cup in the past.
