Plateau United General Manager Assures Swan Of More Beneficial Relationship

The General Manager of Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Pius Henwan has assured the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN of more mutually beneficial relationships as partners in progress.

Henwan stated this when the new executive of SWAN, Plateau State chapter paid him a courtesy call at his office in Jos.

The General Manager explained that as critical stakeholders vested with the responsibility of disseminating information to the public, there is the need for both sides to work closely for the interest of the club and the State.

He praised the Association for the cooperation and support they have been rendering the club since he assumed office six years ago and appealed for more in sustaining the relationship.

” Am challenging the new exco to purge its ranks of quacks and half-baked journalists whose unprofessional conduct is bringing the respected pen profession to disrepute

” Some of your colleagues are doing extremely well. But a few others are denting the image of the club through their reportage and I want to challenge you to identify these undesirable elements and take disciplinary action to serve as a deterrent to others who may want to toe the same line.

Earlier, the new Chairman of SWAN Plateau State chapter, Andrew Bisyit while commending the General Manager for winning the Nigeria Professional Football League twice, noting that the feat has gone a long way in repositioning the club as a household name not only in the country but the continent at large.

Bisyit appealed for more synergy between the Association and the club in order to sustain the cordial working relationship existing between them.

While appreciating the support received from the Pius Henwan-led management of the club, the SWAN chairman called for more support to enable the association to discharge its duties effectively.
