The management of Plateau United Football Club of Jos has embarked on a one-month recess.

According to a statement by the Media Officer of the Club, Albert Dakup quotes management as commending the team’s commitment, loyalty, and dedication towards the collective objectives.
The statement specifically thanked the Plateau United team for striving hard to maintain its top-flight, status, despite daunting challenges in the outgone abridged league season.
Despite not achieving its target of making it to the season-ending super six play-off spot, the statement appreciates the determination and resilience put in by both technical, management and staff of Plateau United club.
Plateau United finished fifth in group A of the 2023 abridged Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, and bowed out of the 2023 National Federations Cup Competition controversially at the Semi-finals stage.
The Plateau United team is expected to resume on the second of July to begin preparations ahead of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier League.
